Meet the Mermaids: Hi, I'm Anna

In this endearing mermaid book meet Anna, one of the Five Enchanted Mermaids! Her best friend is Otto, a very smart octopus, and her favorite color is green, the color of her tail. She loves to dance and visit baby animals. 

She lives with her mermaid sisters in an undersea kingdom called Atargatis where they have lots of sea creature friends. Each of the five mermaids has a special skill that they can use to help their friends. Anna is the kindest of all the mermaids and her favorite activity is to teach children how to be kind.

In this children’s mermaid book, Meet the Mermaids: Hi, I’m Anna, you and your child get to know Anna. She pays a visit to Miss Molly’s School to talk to the students about the Kindness Kids Club and how they can participate. The students become Kindness Kids and go out to look for “kindness in action”.

Anna explains the three main types of kindness: to our planet, to other people and to ourselves. The students found lots of examples of kindness in action and decide to create an art project to celebrate all the acts of kindness they saw. This concept helps lay the groundwork for real-world conversations between adult and child about the importance of kindness in our world and presents opportunities to introduce the Kindness Kids Club into the real-world classroom and school.
