Meet the Mermaids: Hi, I'm Zari

In this delightful mermaid book meet Zari, an African American mermaid and one of the Five Enchanted Mermaids! Her best friend is an oyster named Pearl and her favorite color is purple. 

She lives with her mermaid sisters in an undersea kingdom called Atargatis where they have lots of sea creature friends. Each of the five mermaids has a special skill that they use to help their friends. Zari is the most independent and self-reliant of the mermaids.
